Since 2012, Susan has led the National Foundations Partnerships team at Teach For America, a role in which she creatively brings together ideas, people, and resources to support TFA's mission. She joined Teach For America after 16 years of running her own consultancy practice, which focused on educational, organizational and leadership strategy, and served clients in higher education, state and local school systems, corporations, and non-profits. She started her career in educational publishing and was a frequent speaker and writer on the transition from print to digital communication and learning.
She received her Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Columbia University, her M.Ed. from Harvard University, and her B.A. from Princeton University. She was an New York City Education Pioneer in 2009, and subsequently served as a Gates Foundation Ed Pioneer Fellow in Seattle in 2011. She and her husband, John Meyer, live in Manhattan and have two grown children, Sarah and Matthew. |
