Dr. Sorgi is a C-Suite executive with over four decades of experience in sales, marketing and operations in educational publishing. Currently, she serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of AWE Acquisition, Inc. (dba AWE Learning) and Founder, Chair, Director & President of Literacy Access Fund, a 501(c)(3), tax-exempt organization which grants financial support to organizations in need of Early Literacy resources.

Her strengths include: proven leadership in turnaround of major business segments; budgets and business planning; re-engineering of high performance sales teams; analytical problem solving and strategic planning; and, solid foundation of key sales and marketing skills, including:  strategic change initiatives, project management, new business development, policy development, research and evaluation, customer relationship management/ operations; product development and product marketing; and contracts negotiation.

Dr. Sorgi is a former classroom teacher, and taught second grade in inner-city New York.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from St. Francis College and her Masters Degree in Elementary Education/ Reading Specialization from St. John’s University. She earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix Online.

Dr. Sorgi was an adjunct faculty, faculty mentor and in-service facilitator for Everest College Phoenix, Online Division for five years.

Volunteer work includes: host family for the Fresh Air Fund; leadership presenter for Dress for Success and The Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary; Board of Directors/ Treasurer, Jessup’s Landing Condominium; Member, Treviso Bay Master Finance Committee.
